What a day...
Okay, first of all, I apologize for the lack of post last night, blogger was being dumb.
Anyway, I wasnt sure if I wanted to share this, but I decided to anyway. WARNING: the following may be a little TMI! So as you all know, Kevin and I have been trying to have a baby for the last 2 years. My period is on time every.single.month. Its been that way for, ohhhh, the last 15 years. So when good old Aunt Flow didnt show up on Sunday (the day she was due), I got a little weirded out. When she didnt show up Monday, I started smiling. When she didnt show up by the time I went to bed last night, both of us got REALLY excited. Well, cut to this morning, I took a pregnancy test, which came out negative (what a shocker. ugh), and good old Aunt Flow showed up minutes later. I was pissed. Really pissed. God played a really mean trick on me, and I am NOT happy about it. To make things even more sad, Kevin said he woke up this morning and started thinking about how we would do the baby room. That made me cry. :(
Anyway, I continued with my day, trying not to let this upset me too much. I went to zumba class this morning, then finished cleaning up the yard and pulling weeds. I added to my farmers tan (mild sunburn, anyone?), and Im pretty sure my legs and back will be stiff in the morning. Oops. I went to zumba tonight as well, and there were only a few people in there, so we had lots of space to shake it!!
Tomorrow, I have step class in the morning, cleaning afterwards (its a never ending battle--sigh), then possibly some zumba tomorrow afternoon.
*Maybe next month will be our month....

Sore...
Between going to the gym twice yesterday (and using the weightroom) and doing yardwork, I am sore sore sore!! My legs were so stiff this morning when I woke up that I automatically decided not to go to spin class. So I had some breakfast and tinkered around on the interwebs until Kevin got up and we got ready to go to Tripler.
Kevin had his appointment with the endocrinologist today. This was the first time we had seen this particular doctor, and we really like him. Basically, Kevin is doing really well in his recovery, but his calcium is still a bit high. They want to keep an eye on his parathyroid glands as well. Right now, he is on non-deployable status and it will probably stay that way...for now. I dont want to get too happy about that because things could change really quickly. The doctor also mentioned a medical board, but he will not be recommending that at this time. Medical boards can be scary because the army can come back and say Kevin has to be medically retired. The doctor says he has plenty of patients with Kevins condition that have gone through, and passed, the medical board, so there isnt reason for alarm. Kevin really wants to finish his 20 years. The doctor also told us about a place in Bethesda, Maryland called NIH (National Institutes of Health) that Kevin could be referred to if the docs here have exhausted all options and cannot figure out what is making his calcium rise. They would do about a weeks worth of tests, then Kevin would come home and wait for the results. If they need him further, he will go back out. Anyway, we shouldnt be to concerned right now, and things are getting better for him :)
The rest of our afternoon was really nice! We laid around and did absolutely nothing! We had a great dinner, and its almost bedtime :)
Tomorrow, I may or may not go to the gym (probably wont), depending on how my muscles feel. I will be doing the rest of the yardwork though :)

Yardwork
The main focus of my day, between the gym classes of course, was doin yard work! I was going to clean the bathrooms today, but my sweet husband took the liberty of cleaning them for me.... thanks lover!!! Anyway, I mowed the patch of grass next to the car, my front and side yard outside of the fence (which the landscapers are "supposed" to do but choose not to. They have been replaced from what I hear.), and our backyard. I also trimmed up against two of the fences, up against the driveway, and down the walkway, plus pulled the weeds outside of the fence. By the time I was done with that, I had developed a gross blister on my finger (eww), so I decided to stop for the day. I will trim up the front and the other part of the fence tomorrow after Kevins appointment. Before I went to zumba, I rested for a couple of hours this afternoon.
Zumba was awesome, as usual! She had like 3 new songs for us, so I was all kinds of lost!!! It was still an amazing workout, and pair that with the awesome workout I got at step class this morning and doing the yardwork (hey, thats alot of squatting and standing!), I am pretty tired! Bonus: I got a nice farmers tan while working in the yard today--yay me.
My dingbat self forgot to pull out something for dinner before I left for zumba, and Kevin had already left to take his coworker to the airport, so we had chinese food for dinner. Not the healthiest thing, I know, but thawing chicken would have taken forever and we would have eaten much later than we should be. It was pretty yummy!
Tomorrow, Kevin has a doc appointment in the early afternoon, so sadly I have to miss 1145 zumba class. I'm thinking about going to spin class for the first time in like 2 months though! Yeah, we'll see how that works out! If I dont go to spin, I will probably finish up the yard work (weather permitting!).

Lowfat Peanut Butter Cookie Fail
This morning, I slept until 10 like I wanted!! When I got up, I decided to try that low fat, low cal peanut butter cookie recipe I've had my eye on this past week. I followed the recipe exactly, but doubled it up so I could share some with my neighbors down the way. Long story short, the batter was super runny, not like the consistency a peanut butter cookie should be. Fail#1. Then, I decided to try another recipe from the same site that had a little more calories and fat per serving. This time, I only made what the recipe called for, and the consistency still wasn't right. Fail#2.
At that point, I just decided to stop baking and go to the grocery store instead. Between the baking fails and an ongoing personal issue, its been an emotional day for me, so I made dinner and headed up to bed early.
Tomorrow I have step class in the morning and Zumba in the evening, with some housecleaning in between. This is the last full week I get Kevin all to myself before he goes back to work. Even though I will be able to get a lot more housework done while he's at work, I will still miss having him around during the day (and sleeping in together hehe). He is pretty excited about getting back to work and continuing his healing process (which is going really great!)
Anyway, hopefully tomorrow will be better than today.... at least in the baking department!

Shiny rings and a movie date
Its been a go go go day! This morning I got up early to head down to the mall. It was time for my wedding rings to get replated, cleaned, inspected and polished. Once a month, Zales has a person come in and resize, replate, clean, inspect diamonds, etc. same day. I really dont like sending them off for days at a time where they could potentially get lost, so today was the day! They came out looking fabulous and brand new :D
After we picked them up, we had some lunch and went home for a bit before joining friends to see Bad Teacher. That movie is funny! Cameron Diaz is awesome in this movie, so go see it!!
After the movie, we went to Outback steakhouse because it was our friend Danielles birthday. Dinner was delicious and we are now having a few drinks back home!
Tomorrow, I am sleeping in!! Ive got less than 10 hours of sleep in 3 days, and I dont need to wake up early tomorrow, so the alarm clock is getting turned off and I am sleeping until I wake up :) We may go snorkeling tomorrow, but normally we just relax and do a whole lot of nothing on Sundays, so we will see!!

TGIF
This post is going to be short because I only got 4 hours (maybe a little less) of sleep last night. It was due to insomnia and Kevins snoring :-/
Anyway, I forced myself to get up this morning and go to step class. I really look forward to Friday morning class, so I knew I would be frustrated with myself had I decided to just sleep in instead. I'm glad I went, I got an amazing workout, and I cooked up some energy to power me through my day! After the gym, Kevin and I went down to the North Shore, specifically a place called Ali'i Beach Park (the same park we saw the pro surfing competition back in November). It was nice and un-crowded, but the sun was blaring so we only stayed for about an hour. No, I dont have pictures because yes, I forgot my camera at home (say WHATTT?!?!?!?). When we got home, Kevin played his video game and I dozed off on the couch for about 45 minutes until Kevin woke me up. Grrr.
After watching our DVR'd episode of Swamp People and having low fat/low cal soft tacos, we are relaxing for the rest of the evening. I will be going to bed very soon though, I'm really tired! Tomorrow, I'm getting up rather early to head to the mall to get my wedding rings cleaned, prongs tightened, and replated. I'm really excited about this because they havent been in for service in like 9 months almost (they should be done every 6 months). Oh, and no gym for me in the morning! Sometimes its nice to take the day off :)

For the 5th time in 2 months.....
....someone I know has gotten pregnant. I'm really happy for this person, but I'm frustrated as all get out too. It's really hard to be super excited for someone when they have gotten pregnant 2 times in the 2 years Kevin and I have been trying. Forgive me, but it's just not fair. This is how I feel.
Anyway, on to my day. I went to zumba this morning, and was pleasantly suprised to find out Meghan (my favorite zumba instructor) was subbing for Katie! She has been out for a couple of weeks, but came back with some new songs :) I really love her routines--I think I get a better workout with her routines vs. Katie's or Kelly's (although I love them too!). After zumba, I ran to the commissary to get some random things, and an ingredient for the low fat/ low cal peanut butter cookie recipe I'm going to try out. I was going to make them today, but after the grocery store Kevin wanted to go to Borders, so I tagged along. Plus, I really wasn't in the baking mood...
I also went to zumba class this evening, and got an even better workout than I did this morning!! When I got home, I tried out a new recipe I got from Sparkpeople.com! It's honey mustard baked chicken with baked carrots and potatoes. It's delicious, healthy, I am definitely going to make it again :)
For now, it's time to watch our DVR'd new Futurama episodes and new Swamp People! Good night, folks!

Extreme laziness, Buzuleciu style.
Oh boy were we lazy today! The TV has been off for most of the day, we rolled out of bed after 10am, we sat on the couch pretty much all day today (I caught up on blogs, read news articles, and did healthy recipe research while Kevin spent most of the day reading his ginormous book). The only 2 times I got out of the house today were to meet Annie at my driveway so she could borrow our lawn mower, and to meet her again when she returned it!
I did manage to bake some wonderful oatmeal chocolate chip cookies, though!! I was going to make homemade peanut butter cookies as well, but I found a low cal, low fat recipe that I really liked and it calls for unsweetened applesauce, which I dont have in my pantry. I decided to wait until tomorrow (when I will be going to the store to get the applesauce, amongst other things) to make them. I dont mind waiting if the cookies are better for us!!
Other than that, we had spaghetti for dinner, and we are going to continue relaxing for the rest of the evening. Tomorrow, I have zumba both in the morning and in the evening. I havent been to the gym in 2 days (gasp!), so I am ready to do some dancin'!!!!

I just love homecoming ceremonies!
Okay, so apparently blogger is being dumb the last few days, because I wrote an entry last night and it didnt post--again.
Anyway, a couple of days ago, my friend Annie informed me that she wouldnt be able to take pictures at our friend Sarah's homecoming ceremony because her parents were flying in at almost the same time as the ceremony was to start. So she asked me if I would mind taking pictures using her Canon DSLR camera. I told her I would be happy to, and it gave me a chance to check out the DSLR side of photography. So I picked up the camera last night, and all morning this morning I read....and read....and read the manual so that I would have no problems at the homecoming (I was so worried that I would mess up Sarahs pictures). I had no reason to worry, though, because the pictures came out great!!! The homecoming ceremony lasted just a few short minutes, then the guys were released to their (very patiently) waiting families! Sarah took off and was finally reunited with her husband :) Yeah, I teared up a bit, but everything went by so fast, that I just focused on the photographs being taken!
*So a big WELCOME HOME to Joe and all of the other 2nd Brigade guys and gals who have trickled in over the last few weeks!!!!*
This was the cover of the box it came in--I was so excited that I got to personalize that as well!! |
Kevin has been wanting a nice watch.... so I got him one... |
....and had it personalized as well! He really is the best husband in the world :-) |
Oh, I almost forgot! Yesterday, our entertainment center, coffee table, and one of the 2 end tables were delivered!!! After moving the furniture from the back room to the front room and back to the back room (like 3 times!!), we realized that we need bigger rooms, or that we bought one too many pieces of furniture! (insert sad face here.) So "little green", our loveseat, is now sitting in the front room, while "big green", the sofa, and the recliner are both in the back room where the entertainment center is. One of the walls is bare, but I got some matching stain for the bookshelf that houses our DVD's, so when that's done I will put it up against the side wall. Dont worry, I will decorate soon enough now that the rest of the furniture is here!! It won't be boring for long!!
Theres ALOT of entertainment center (I could swear it looked smaller in the store!!!) , so it kind of overpowers the room, but I am determined to fix it up nice and make all of the pieces work :)
So that was my day!!
Tomorrow, Kevin and I will be testing out our new snorkel gear @ Hanauma Bay!! This means I will hopefully (weather permitting), have some pictures for you guys tomorrow night!

The most beautiful gift!
* I have no idea what happened to last nights post...somehow it didn't post :( *
Since yesterday's entry didn't post, let me fill you in! Last night, Kevin got a call from the place he ordered my anniversary gift from letting him know that my gift was in. Little did I know, that place was Zales, the jewelry store! (Zales is also the place we got my wedding rings, by the way!) Anyway, when we got up this morning, we had breakfast and headed down to the mall. We were only in there for a few minutes while Kevin went to the store and I went into Charlotte Russe (this is my new favorite store!). When we met back up, and got in the car, Kevin presented me with this!!
Isn't it beautiful?!?!?!? Its white gold, with our birthstones (we are both November) and our names engraved on it. It also has 2 itty bitty diamonds on each side. I LOVE IT!!!!!! Kevin picked it out and designed it himself as well! So thank you, lover, for the most thoughtful and sweet gift ever :)
I plan on wearing it every day, along with my wedding rings. My gift for Kevin also had to be special ordered (dang store didnt have it in stock--figures), so hopefully it will be here soon! I can't say what it is just yet, but I will post a picture when it comes in!!
After we went to the mall, we had lunch at Chili's before coming home. Other than that, we have spent most of the day just lounging around, reading and watching TV. After a light dinner, its now time for bed! Our new entertainment center, coffee table, and one of the 2 end tables will be delivered tomorrow, yay!!! So after I go to step class, I will be coming home and helping Kevin swap the furniture between the back room (attached to the kitchen) and the front room. Eeeekk, I'm so excited!!!
Anyway, I will post more tomorrow when the new room is all set up!

A job?????
Today was VERY uneventful, but I promised myself I would post every day, at least for the first year we are here! I got up this morning and went to step class. Thankfully, my hip behaved this morning and I was able to get a decent workout in, plus do some arm and *gasp* EXTRA leg work in as well! After step class, I came home and did what I have been planning--er, procrastinating-- on doing for quite sometime, and I applied for a job with our local cable company!! I spiffied (is that even a word?) up my resume, attached it to the application, took an assessment, and submitted it! Hopefully I will hear back from them soon :)
Other than that, I've been doing laundry and lounging around all day! Tomorrow, I will be doing some housecleaning and relaxing as much as possible. I am hoping to sleep in as well. Key word-hoping. Sleeping in is really hard with an annoying cat running up the stairs, down the hall, onto the bed, meowing in your face, and running back down the stairs.... before 8am. We won't mention any names, Wyatt. If he were human, it would be like having a 4 year old. Crazy psycho boy.....
Anyway, I hope to have a more interesting post tomorrow :)

Loca Loca Loca....
Sometimes I feel like thats me, for going to the gym more than once a day! This morning I went to the first zumba class, and my hip DID NOT co-operate (insert mad face here.). I made it through the class, but my hip stayed really stiff. Ugh.
Anyway, Kevin and I made our bi weekly commissary run, and spent way more money than we wanted to. I really need to get obsessed with coupons! We got what we needed and I proceeded to relax for a few hours to let my hip rest until it was time to go to the second zumba class of the day. My hip actually felt better and way less stiff, so I went to class. On Thursday evenings now, we have the same instructor as we do Monday nights, Megan. She's actually really great, and I look forward to going to her classes! Well, like Monday night, she wasnt there for some reason, so we had an instructor I have never seen before, Kelly. Kelly's routines are really easy to pick up, which is great, but they really arent insanely challenging, so I had to add more intensity in my steps. My hip (thankfully) co-operated during this class, and I felt pretty good afterwards! I did a quick tricep exercise after class and headed home. Tonight we are having pizza for dinner, and watching Swamp People! Dont ask us why, but we really love that show! Its our guilty obsession heehee :)
Tomorrow is Friday!!!!! I dont know why I'm excited about that!!!! I will be going to step class in the morning (yay!!), doing some yardwork if its nice, housework if its not, and maybe go to zumba in the afternoon. We will be clearing out the front room in preparation for the last part of our furniture to be delivered as well!! We have been using the back room (the one across from the kitchen area) as our "living room", but the new furniture really doesnt fit well, so we are moving our furniture to the front room, and using the back room for the Wii room! I'm excited to see how it will turn out!
Well, off to eat some delicious California Pizza Kitchen pizza! Goodnight folks!

Grumpy McGrumpmeister
That was me today. I woke up grumpy, every little thing annoyed me, and I couldnt shake it. Not even when the delivery people delivered our new furniture today! Kudos to Kevin for putting up with my bitchiness today :-/
So our new furniture is here, and it was a little bigger than we thought it would be in the back room--so we are moving everything to the front room sometime this weekend. It looks great, though!!! After the delivery people came, we decided to go to the NEX and order the coffee table, entertainment center, and end tables to complete our living room ensemble. One of the end tables had to be special ordered, and we should get that one in 10-12 weeks. We are excited to get the rest of the stuff on Monday though!!
Today has been really boring, and I really dont have much to write about, so I will close it up for now :)
Tomorrow is Thursday, which means.....zumba class twice! I love that I look forward to these classes each week! I'm also going to get some more yardwork done :)

Regular old Tuesday
I slept in this morning until 930 ahhhhh!!! I went to zumba class at 1145 and danced my booty off, and it was HOT in there. Once I was done with the gym, the plan was to come home, download a few new songs on my ipod, and mow the yard. Well, it took FOREVER to download them and get them on the stinkin' ipod. Ugh. They finally downloaded properly, and I headed out to the backyard. The lawn got mowed and I got half of the fenceline trimmed before my back started getting really sore, so I came back inside and took a shower. We are going to relax for the evening and just hang out. Kevin was craving Maui Mikes, so he went down there and picked up dinner for us!
Tomorrow, our new living room furniture comes, yay!!!!! I'm so excited to have more seating options for
Good night everyone!

Anniversary Part 2 (with pictures!)
Today was day 2 of our anniversary celebration. This morning I couldnt sleep in like I wanted to for some reason, so I let Kevin sleep while I went downstairs to grab breakfast. Once we were both up and ready for the day, we packed up, checked out of our room, and decided to hang out by the infinity pool. I really wanted the opportunity to swim in it, so I did! As promised, here are some pictures from our stay at the Sheraton Waikiki!
It all started with me coming home from Saturday morning zumba to this! Side note: Kevin NEVER gets me flowers, y'all, so to see this when I came home just made my whole day! Aren't they beautiful?? |
This was the view we had from our lanai |
Our room had spectacular views of the Diamond Head crater |
We started our afternoon off right with a refreshing drink--this was really yummy! |
Then we got all dressed up to go out to dinner! |
Not the greatest picture (it was really dark!), but this was the view from our table at Top of Waikiki resteraunt. The resteraunt revolves so you get a 360 degree view of the city! |
Honu sculpture @ the entrance to our hotel |
The infinity pool!! Can you tell where it drops off?? |
Looking over the edge of the infinity pool. It literally goes right out to the ocean! |
We ended up leaving Waikiki around 2pm, after having lunch at P.F. Changs (yummalicious!!). I was able to relax a bit before heading out to zumba! When I got home from the gym, I discovered that Kevin had cooked some of his super-yummy homemade chili for dinner--thanks lover!!!
Tomorrow I will be mowing the lawn first thing in the morning, then heading to the gym for lunchtime zumba class. I also plan on cleaning the house a bit as well. Good night everybody!

One Year Ago....
*....today, I married my best friend. I walked down the aisle of that church and promised to love and spend the rest of my life forever with the most amazing man in the world. Happy Anniversary, Kevin!!! I love you so very much and I hope we get another million years together!!!
Since today is our anniversary, and I am fortunate to have Kevin home for it, we started the day by sleeping in! Once we got up, we headed to the store to pick up a couple of things before packing for our overnight trip to Waikiki. We ran a little behind, but whatever we were having a good time! We finally got down here and checked into our hotel. I was hungry, so we ate at one of the hotels' resteraunts, The Edge. Their pizza is really delicious and we had a couple of drinks. We decided to kill some time before we went out to dinner, so we started walking down Kalakaua Ave. What we didnt know is that there was a parade happening this afternoon! I got some pictures with my cell phone, but I will post those tomorrow when I post all of the other pictures I have taken from this adventure! Anyway, the parade was really neat, and I enjoyed looking at all of the shops with Kevin. For dinner, we were originally going to go to P.F. Changs, but we ultimately decided on the Top of Waikiki, a resteraunt that revolves at the top of a tall building. It moves so slow that it doesnt bother you while youre eating, but its cool nonetheless!! Our dinner was *expensive* but delicious! It was a nice romantic atmosphere, and we really enjoyed ourselves!
Tomorrow, we are planning on going snorkeling and just relaxing by the beach :) Whatever we do, we will have a great time I'm sure! I have taken some pictures already, but I will post them tomorrow night or Tuesday night once we are back home and I have extra time. This anniversary has been just lovely, and we both had an amazing day. I cant believe its been a year! Oh, and that whole "you gain 20 lbs your first year of marriage" stuff is horsehockey, because yours truly has lost 20 lbs. Go me! Kevin certainly has noticed also, which makes me happy :)
Anywho, good night folks, I will have more tomorrow!

Last day as an official "Newlywed"...
Today was fairly go go go. I went to zumba class this morning, sweated more than usual (yay!), met up with Kevin, went to Mililani to get oil and an oil filter for S.S.Sebring, changed her oil, went home and got ready, went to "Mystery store #1" to get one of Kevins presents (I cant reveal the name because Kevin reads this occasionally and if he sees the name, he will figure out what I got him!), headed to the mall to get a bikini cover-up and another present for Kevin, and headed home. Phew!! I was non-stop from 730am until 5 easy with only a couple of minutes of rest. I got what I needed though! I even went into Charlotte Russe again (Um, this is pretty much my new favorite store.) to get the cover-up. Throw in a couple of smoothie stops, and you've got yourself a pretty non stop day! Anyway, I only have one more thing to pick up at the store tomorrow morning before Kevin and I head out to Waikiki.
When I got home this afternoon, I had flowers waiting for me! This is amazing, since Kevin has only bought me flowers one other time in our relationship. He hates buying flowers because he says they die too quickly. The flowers were beautiful! I would post a picture, but I'm too lazy to go find my camera cord, so you guys will just have to take my word for it until tomorrow when I will post the picture :)
Tomorrow is our anniversary!!!! I cant believe its already been a year! People say that the first year of marriage is the hardest, and if thats the case we have a pretty easy marriage to look forward to! Kevin and I have decided to go to Waikiki and spend the day down there snorkeling, laying out in the sun, swimming, walking around the shops, and enjoying one anothers' company:)
I'm pretty darn tired, so I'm going upstairs to rest for the night---good night everybody!!

Anniversary present
I slept GREAT last night! I only got around 5-6 hours of sleep, but it was uninterrupted sleep. I woke up refreshed, energetic, and in a fabulous mood! I also kicked butt in step class this morning--I was on point with all of my steps and my brain was flowing really well!!!
After step class, we went down to the mall to continue shopping for each others' anniversary present! I'm having the hardest time finding a nice anniversary present for Kevin. I usually get him tools or video games, but I was hoping to avoid those for this occasion. It doesnt help that he has ordered me a very nice gift from Zales already too! I feel bad because I dont think that anything I get him will be as nice as what he got me, you know what I mean? Anyway, I looked around for a bit while Kevin was taking care of things at Zales. I didnt find anything for him, but I will be going back tomorrow by myself to browse several stores! I did go to Charlotte Russe and found a really cute dress to wear to dinner Sunday night!! There are 3 fabulous things about this dress-- 1) I found it on the sale rack, 2) it accentuates Kevins favorite body part on me, my booty, but flatters my small bust too!; and 3) its a size 2 and it fit perfectly! So what if it has a little bit of stretchy material (not all of it, but a little)-- I was PROUD of myself that it fit! Wait, theres one more fabulous thing: The final price was around 8 bucks, the original price was like 36 bucks....score!! I will definitely be going back in that store tomorrow to check out the other deals they have going on! I cant wait to wear it! After we did our mall shopping, I decided I wanted to go to zumba, so I got ready and went! We had a sub today for class, one that I have never seen before (and neither had the rest of the class, apparently). She was really good though, and I got a great workout!
Tomorrow I am going to the gym in the morning, then changing the oil in S.S.Sebring (yes, this was supposed to be done earlier this week, but we got busy and I'm a procrastinator--sue me) before heading down to the mall. For now though, I'm pretty darn tired so I am heading to bed! Good night everybody!

It's official......
Our new living room set arrives next Wednesday!!! They could have delivered it Monday, but Kevin and I will still be on our huge anniversary date and we didnt want to have to rush home. Anyway, I'm so very excited!!! I finally get to go and pick out curtains and set up pictures :D
Another thing we did today was pick out the rest of the living room ensemble: a new coffee table, 2 end tables, and a new entertainment center! We havent picked it up yet because they didnt have any more of the end tables, and they have to check if we can still order them (make sure theyre not discontinued, etc). The end tables and coffee table are a matching set :) If we can still order the end tables, we will pick up the coffee table and entertainment center, then wait the *gasp* 10-12 weeks for our end tables to come in. Here's what we are getting!
The coffee table, all closed up |
The top swings up into a TV tray! There is plenty of storage underneath, and these 2 features had Kevin sold! |
Matching end table |
Entertainment center--I really love the 2 piers, and I plan on using the shelves for decorations and picture frames! |
Add in the new furniture....
...and you've got an (almost) completed living room makeover! I'm really excited to put it all together and finally have a more sophisticated room--not to mention more places to sit hehe
Before and after we picked out furniture today, I went to zumba! I'm shocked I made it to both classes, seeing as I only got 3 and a half hours of sleep last night. I evn took a sleeping pill (although this one wasnt as strong as the one I took the other night--I didnt like that the stronger pill made me groggy for at least 24 hours). It didnt work, so I think its time to see my PCM again....
Anyway, I made it to zumba this evening and had (suprisingly) great energy! Tomorrow I am going to step class, then zumba tomorrow afternoon. I'm hoping to finally get to run by ACS to get my resume in order!
Oh, speaking of resume, Kevin has offered to do something really sweet for me: remember a couple of weeks ago, when I mentioned that I want a DSLR camera but Kevin said I had to wait to get it until I went back to work and got a few paychecks first (since it costs quite a bit)? Well, he offered to buy me the camera with the star card (like a credit card for military members) when I get hired!! That way I can get it right away, and we would just up the payments on the card (which we do anyway). EEEEEEK!!! I'm so excited :D I was torn between a Canon D3100 and a Nikon D90, but I have made my final decision on which one I will be getting. Drumroll, please...................................................................
The winner is:
The Nikon D90!!!! After HOURS of research and viewing sample pictures taken from both cameras (with their respective kit lenses), I determined that the Nikon just produces better quality pictures straight out of the camera with the kit lens. I couldnt wait to start work anyway, and this just sweetens the deal :D
Anyway, Ive rambled on enough for one evening, I think! Good night folks!!
